PhysicsReal 16 mm glass marbles on a 4 m course under 9.81 m/s² gravity, with measured bounce, rolling and friction. No two races run the same.
Photo finishesMarbles within 100 ms of each other count as a tie, and a tie is settled by country stats.
HazardsA hydraulic crusher, a saw blade and a trapdoor sit on the course. Roughly one marble in twenty is destroyed before the line and is out of the heat.
Tie-breakersPopulation → land area → highest point → shared borders → lowest crime index → coin flip.
